Maturation journey:
The Dalmore 1979 has spent 33 long years slumbering in warehouse no. 9.
Over that time it has been nurtured by a commanding hogshead made from the world’s most outstanding oak, Quercus Alba from the Ozark mountain ranges of Missouri. This has been the perfect protector, allowing the whisky to develop at its own pace and impart enticing notes of apples, peaches and lemongrass.
It is an outstanding example of how time and cask selection can work together to create an exhilarating whisky.
