In Galloway, a collection of dark stone buildings sit perched on the River Bladnoch; The Bladnoch Distillery.
With a rich history dating back to 1817, Bladnoch is a single malt scotch whisky distillery in south west Scotland. It is one of six remaining lowland distilleries and one of the oldest whisky producers in Scotland.
TASTING NOTES
Colour – Copper gold.
Nose – Quite concentrated, fruit compote, with plums, vanilla, and orange blossom.
Palate – A sweet winey start, then drying slightly before more plum and vanilla flavours, some citrus and a malty core. Nicely structured.
Finish – Mellow and winey with a spicy lingering tail.
