Aromatic, fresh and herbaceous. A sweeter and refreshing style with a bitterness on the finish.
In 1814—the year Napoleon unconditionally abdicated the French Emperorship and war was raging between the Americans and British—Giuseppe Casoni began distilling liqueurs in the small town of Finale Emilia, bordering the provinces of Modena, Ferrara, and Bologna. Today, Casoni is in its sixth generation of family management, under the auspices of Mario Casoni. Casoni ‘1814’ is based on a historical family recipe using the flavors of (predominately) local herbs, fruits, and seeds.
