Cape Tea Gin hails from the Rooibos bush of the Cedarburg Wilderness, Western Cape, South Africa. The leaves are bruised, fermented to bring out the fruit note. Cassia and cubeb pepper frame the character
The Rooibos bush (a.k.a. RED BUSH) was almost lost to the world and then rediscovered in 1772.
It is native to the mountains of the Cedarburg Wilderness, Western Cape South Africa. The leaves are bruised, fermented then air dried; the fermentation brings out the fruit note.
The Distillation captures the pure essence of the RED BUSH tea. The botanicals of cassia and cubeb pepper frame the character of our Distilled Cape Tea gin.
