For William Heavenhill, distilling was a family tradition. By some accounts, Heavenhill corn whiskey supplied Bardstown’s historic Talbott Tavern in the early 1800s. The limestone spring William used to make his Bourbon was the same spring that inspired our company’s original name: The Old Heavenhill Springs Distillery.
The eleventh edition of William Heavenhill is comprised of 34 barrels aged for 13 years on the 4th floor of Rickhouse AA at our historic Deatsville site in Nelson County, KY. It meets all the requirements of a Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon, including having barrels selected from the same distilling season and bottling the liquid from those barrels at 100 proof.
